Auto-Media headed to Hull!

Yesterday saw Auto-Media head to Hull to find the perfect location with Darren Mallinson (Mallo, to his friends!) for a shoot with the Supra. The Supra had not had a professional shoot in its current Autoglym colours or with the new interior and ICE and its was great to be asked. You never know when a change will be made to it and this was a fantastic opportunity to have a skilled photographer make the most of the work we had done over the year to complete this current build and give us a permanent record of this.

A search around the area of the old fruit market and water front gave us the location we were looking for. The sun shone on the Marina with racing yachts and cruisers as a fantastic back drop.

Hull as always was cold but the locals were extremely friendly and made the day interesting. Mallo chatted during the shoot about techniques, his love of photography and his thoughts on the scene as a whole.  It was refreshing to get the view of a fellow modifier who had been in the scene as long as us and also turned it into a career.

After the shoot, a bite to eat and some warmth in a friendly pub under the Humber Bridge we all headed over to the Fast-N-Modded Hulloween Cruise. A charity event in its second year raising money for Cancer Research UK.  The location of the Humber Bridge Country Park with its cafe, hard standing and numerous car parks made it a suitable and safe location for what was one of the biggest cruises of the year. The Fast-N-Modded team worked incredibly hard on this event, both in promotion and getting support of the Road Safety Team and local businesses. The turnout was excellent, all types of cars from american muscle, to euro style with everything in between turned out, with many owners in Halloween fancy dress.

The final total raised will be over £1000 with donations still coming in. Plans are afoot for a meet in the warmer weather where, with evening sun, we will all be able to appreciate more of the cars that turn out.  It was good to chat with the cruisers and also the rally cross teams that were there about Thor Racing and World Wide Wonder, hopefully there may be an interesting project or two to report about in the coming year!  If you have any photos or videos please do not forget to upload them on www.worldwidewonder.co.uk and also onto the Auto-Media group on Facebook.
